The World Health Organization (WHO) invites you to a launch event on 21 November 2023 to celebrate the release of the full WHO Guideline on the prevention and management of wasting and nutritional oedema (acute malnutrition), with both the management and prevention sections now completed.

This launch event will be co-hosted by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), The International Coalition for Advocacy on Nutrition (ICAN) UK and organised by Action Against Hunger UK and will build on the momentum of the UK’s Global Food Security Summit to be held in London, UK on 20 November.

The event will be hybrid with a small in-person invite-only audience of country representatives from the Summit, UN partners, civil society organisations (CSOs) and academics.

The online aspect will be supported by the Global Nutrition Cluster Technical Alliance

NOTE: There will be some future webinars on the prevention section of the guideline which will go into more detail on the recommendations themselves and implementation considerations. There will be limited time for questions in this current event.

The webinar will be in English with simultaneous translation into Spanish, French and Arabic.
